A Message from Superintendent Greg Baker
Dear students, staff, families and community members,
I hope you are staying dry and safe.
We are thinking of those affected by the flooding and grateful for our emergency responders and local and regional crews for their efforts.
We have been in frequent contact with neighboring school districts, asking how we can be of service and ready to help. We also know we have families and staff who live in areas that are experiencing exceptionally significant flooding impacts.
If you need help, I encourage you to reach out to your school’s principal or any other trusted leader in our district. We would be happy to connect you with resources, whether that is through our family engagement team, Bellingham Public Schools Foundation or our employee assistance program.
Beyond a few detoured bus routes and rescheduled athletic events, our district facilities, activities and transportation are operating normally, and we will let you know if conditions change.
As we continue to think of all those affected by these natural disasters, we also hold in our hearts our school communities and families affected by recent losses.
Thank you and please have a safe weekend.
Greg Baker
